I can't wait until gamers attack this psychiatrist with insults, spam and etc. It will be great to show him how game enthusiasts are civilized.
Im 25 years old. Married, have a child, a social life, i go to work every night, and play around 16 hours a week of video games. My wife plays video games, her parents play video games, my dad of 54 years old plays video games. All these people have work, significant others and attend various social interactions. But we are all abnormal huh. Fuck these so called "experts". Its called a fucking hobby.
I often wonder what entertainment the kids of the future will invent for my generation to demonise. There's been jazz, rhythm and blues, rock and roll, D&D, horror movies, and now video games... what's next?
It always amuses me when people fail to these patterns. It was fantastic watching the penny drop when I pointed out to my dad that his grandparents said the same stuff to *his* mum when she got into Elvis. He doesn't say stupid shit about gaming any more :P
Just to clarify though, I think we all know that playing WoW for 16 hours a day, as this guy apparently did, very much isn't normal for anyone of any age.

For the record, those two psychiatrist (Sørheim is one of two) are arrogant morons. Their psychiatric report declares Breivik criminally irresponsible, and if he is, then all terrorists are in theory criminally irresponsible because of mental illness.
Now there have been a bunch of historians and experts on extremist political behavior in court and most of what they say undermines those two morons' conclusion. And yet those two still refuse to back away from their conclusion even though they say they have no expertise regarding political extremism. Or video games for that matter.
