Play with Left 4 Dead's developers this Saturday photo

We know you’re having fun popping zombie skulls (or human skulls) with your friends in Valve’s post-apoctolyptic shooter Left 4 Dead. In fact, you may have been playing non-stop since its release. In this regard you’re a pro and you need pro players to match your mad skills now, right?

Luckily, this Saturday at 9:00 EST, the developers behind L4D will be making a special collective appearance on Xbox Live. A total of twelve people with intimate knowledge of the game will be out in full force, ready to hurt you and your buddies in places that you can only imagine.

A list of the developers is included after the break. To get in on the action, all you have to do is send a friend invite to any of these Gamertags. Remember, this is a one-time only shot, put on by the guys that run Microsoft’s “Game with Developers” event. Who is going to be in on this?

  • Left4Dead Dev 1 (Scott Dalton)
  • Left4Dead Dev 2 (Charlie Burgin)
  • Left4Dead Dev 3 (Chet Faliszek)
  • Left4Dead Dev 4 (Jason Mitchell)
  • Left4Dead Dev 5 (Matt Scott)
  • Left4Dead Dev 6 (Adrian Finol)

Aboo, the 360 version? I hope they do a PC event some time soon.

What are the odds that out of everyone, you'll actually get a chance to play with them?

Are they doing versus or campaign?

It's actually:
Left4Dead Dev10
Left4Dead Dev11
Left4Dead Dev12

Putting the space after "Dev" exceeds the character limit.
I was also able to add Left4Dead Dev13... I wonder who that is.

Wow really? You'd think that VALVE developers would be playing the game on PC.

My copy still hasn't come in the mail yet.

@Wexx: I imagine this is an event organized more by Microsoft than by Valve.

OH BOO HOO, THEY'RE NOT PLAYING IT ON THE PC. I NEED TO GO MASTURBATE AND CRY ABOUT IT. *smack*

I bet you that Kim Swift gets the vast majority of the invites.

@Sharpless - why so smack? Seriously? It would make a hell of a lot more sense for them to be playing on the PC version, since, well...Valve is known for making PC games. It doesn't make a damn bit of sense that they'd be playing on the 360 version.

This is a Microsoft event. It'd be silly for MS to sponsor an event on Steam. I mean, if Valve wants to do a Steam event on their own time, they're welcome to, but this is specifically an MS promotional event, which MS no doubt asked/told them to do. They've done this sort of thing plenty of times before. It's not really worth complaining about. It makes sense.

If anyone wants to complain about anything, complain that Valve has never played with its customers before, regardless of the platform. (Unless they have, of course.)

Also, you PC gamers are going to have to deal with the fact that the Xbox is now on Valve's radar, in a big way. I can see Valve eventually coming to support their 360 games equally as much as their PC endeavors, L4D being a huge step in that direction. I'd like to think most PC gamers would have the grace to STFU and handle that, but we all know that's not going to happen.

oic. My fault for not checking their blog, so now it makes a little more sense.

And I aint bitching that Valve is publishing for consoles. As long as things aren't dumbed down from the beginning for the console CONTROLLERS, then I won't care. Note that I didn't say players, just the controllers..since they kinda limit things.
