Released over 10 years ago, it's a wonder that anyone still wants to play Quake at all. Quake has been ported to dozens of devices; it's been seen running on everything from PDAs to something called a Mac.
But the Nintendo DS? Come on, even a homebrew port can't hold a candle to the awesome power of the DS FPS classic, Goldeneye: Rogue Agent.
Playing the game on your DS requires a bit of fancy nerd work -- you'll need to be able to run homebrew on your DS as well as own (or have access to) the original Quake data files. A few copied and renamed files later, a version of Quake, suitable for playing on the crapper, should be up and running in no time.
And it's about time, because all of the copies of Entertainment Weekly crammed behind my toilet are months old.
If this ever gets out of beta, which is what it sounds like, I'd love to play it again on my DS. Ahh, memories. Now I just need Wolfenstien 3D, acne, and uncontrollable erections - then I can relive my adolescence years completely!
