Want to do something absolutely ridiculous and/or appalling? Why not spend eight hours playing Killzone 2 on the day after Christmas? Guerrilla's "Yaster" will be hosting a massive eight-hour gaming session on the Killzone 2 servers, and everyone's invited.
On Boxing Day, December 26, from 10am to 6:30pm (we're guessing GMT), you can join Guerrilla in a hefty round of Warzone, or at least watch in disbelief as a man runs a game for longer than anything not called World of Warcraft should be run.
Fun times!

Maybe they're hoping a lot of people will be getting KZ2 for Christmas?
Which is good, because I won't be there.
And frankly, by most players too. The multiplayer certainly is. I've had serious problems with team killing/grenade spam/abusive voice chat in KZ2 multiplayer the last several months, which is to say, precisely why I don't play it any more. I swear, the ONLY people with the headsets are the ones calling everyone "cock-gobbler" and "queer-o-fags." You cannot make this stuff up.

Even with it being free, I felt completely ripped off. I should have ignored the dollar amounts and just gotten Resistance 2 instead. Got exactly one trophy before I gave up.
Good to see it still is getting support, but seriously - Killzone 2 was the biggest disappointment of the 2009 for me.
One thing though, I'm SCEE, not Guerilla ;)
Not forgotten that much. A few sites have it as GOTY contender (although most will probably give it to Uncharted 2, Modern Warfare 2 or (gasp) Assassin's Creed 2). IGN named it PS3 FPS of the year (over MW2) and Gamespot had it as best online competitive game (all systems).
But while awards are nice, since there is a gazillion sites out there, do they actually matter much (compared to releasing the game in a competition less period and racking up good sales)?
