It's been far too long since we have incorporated prizes into Friday Night Fights, hasn't it? Well, I've got some great news to share that I'm pretty excited about, and I am sure you know where this conversation is headed.

Destructoid is collaborating with our pals at Microsoft to bring you Gears of War 2 prizes, and some cool ones at that. Up for grabs this Friday, we have got: one Gears 2 trucker hat, a limited red press edition Gears 2 art book, two Gold Hammerburst codes, two Gold Lancer codes, and six COG tags.

During this week's FNF, a group of us will be playing Gears 2 from 10:00 PM - 1:00 AM EST. So, how about those prizes? All you need to do is join us in whatever multiplayer mode we're playing (our gamertags are after the break) and we'll be handing the swag out to the people who we feel aren't jerks. Simple as that.

@SephirothX Gears multi was never broken, it just had some matchmaking troubles. We'll be playing private matches anyway, so it doesn't matter. Also on Tuesday they are releasing a patch that addresses some of the problems...

I have been playing for the last two days just to practice a bit and as far as the matchmaking goes, it is substantially better at least for me. It took under a minute (two minutes tops) to find a group. With respect to glitches (like the shield glitch), I think they fixed those and I haven't seen any one doing glitches at all. But if we are doing private matches, then it shouldn't be a problem.

Anyways, I'm looking forward to tomorrow. As Carmine would say, let's do this!
