Fellow game music remixer and overall hilarious guy Nick Hagman's fingers are perfectly fine. There's absolutely nothing wrong with them. His desire to play NES classic Castlevania with his feet will never be fully understood by me, but I'm glad he did it. I'm glad that he was okay with jumping around like a crazy man on camera.
Castlevania's a bitch even with your fingers, but Nick goes at it with a Mario DDR dance mat and does a pretty fine job of going through level 1 of the game. He starts out slow, but when he gets into it, he does pretty well. I was impressed with his ability to time a jump to hit both the A and B buttons to whip and jump at the same time. The bat boss? He went down easy.
According to OSV, he's made it to level 5 already.

That must be a bitch trying to jump to the right while defendign against bats.
I hope La Mulana will work with a Gamecube controller. I wanna see him try playing that with a DDR mat. The bats in La Mulana are even worse than the ones in Castlevania.
This is Nick Hagman a.k.a. Nario, the guy in the video.
I am so very grateful for all the positive feedback, and that the video series is getting noticed. I want to thank Dale North personally not just for making this article, but for also ALWAYS being the man: if you want news on upcoming games and which composers are going to be working on the titles or anything Atlus/Persona-related, he's the guy to go to. Seriously.
I also want to add that I've not only gotten better at the dance pad in the later episodes of this series, but that I've also gotten to Dracula. That's right, the final boss. I have wasted 53 lives on trying to beat that (blood) sucker, but I'm slowly getting there.
Once again, thanks for the support and the positive feedback!
WTF!! THIS GUY IS A GENIOUS! who the f**k wants a wiimote, the dancemat... wth! the dancemat it's also a motion control! you play one level and you literally are dropping your heart through your mouth! exactly exactly like PS Move, Natal or whatever crap... BUT CHEAPER!
His desire to play NES classic Castlevania with his feet will never be fully understood by me, but I'm glad he did it. I'm glad that he was okay with jumping around like a crazy man on camera.

Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?
Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!
