Play a Contra-inspired 8-Bit The Expendables game now photo

The Expendables is a ridiculous concept, the Hollywood action film equivalent of Super Smash Bros., starring (take a deep breath now): Sylvester Stallone, Jason Statham, Jet Lie, Dolph Lundgren, Eric Roberts, Steve Austin, Bruce Willis, Mickey Rourke, and more.

So basically, it's like your greatest 80s action movie wet dream brought to the silver screen. What more could you want? An 8-bit Nintendo Entertainment System-style game based on it, of course!

You'll have to go through Facebook, and obnoxiously "Like" the official The Expendables account to play it. But it may very well be worth it, with a Contra-esque side-scroller that lets you control one of three characters (8-bit Jason Statham with a machete!), and even has its own bonus levels and chance to win The Expendables swag if you're a top scoring player.

Arnold even took time off to make a cameo in it. Apparently they also wanted Steven Seagal and Wesley Snipes, but they declined.

@Magnalon: Steven Seagal is in Machete, so it's all good.

LMAO. A Hollywood equivalent of Smash Bros is the best way I've heard this movie being put.

Was Van Damme asked? Coulda been insane....er.

Stallone also wrote AND directed Rocky Balboa, so he knows what he's doing

I will not click a fucking facebook "like" button to play a game. I hate that fucking site. Single handedly ruining the internet while selling your personal info to chinese and african hackers.

Fuck you facebook.

I quite like it, not one for playing games on FB but then they are mostly Zoo, Mafia or Farm games. This though is right up my street. Much better tie in than the 'Wheres Wally' stlye 'Search for Sam Fisher'.

@Nick

the SSB comment is quite possibly the best movie description I've ever heard. That should be on the DVD box.
