Cool. Kinda disappointed though that they haven't given the wii another fair shake. One less than stellar game with lower than expected sales means they stop completely? Where was that mentality when they were working on constant ps2 financial "flops"?

It looks like it may be fun but I gotta say that Jack's colored version looks hideous. I mean, he looks like a fruity character from Gears of War for crying out loud. Too bad this isn't in the same monochrome style as MadWorld.
MadWorld sold less than 150k copies. Platinum Games pretty much screwed itself by using an original but controversial graphic style, repetitive gameplay, and criminally short length of 5-6 hours. Plus, the multiplayer mode felt tacked-on and the extra hard mode was just frustrating. MadWorld was the ideal rental game. You finish it in a day and you've experienced all it has to offer with little in the way of replay value. At least the game sported cool graphics, catchy music and most of its use of motion control was well done.

As for this game, I'm way more psyched for it now that I've seen it. Looks like MadWorld, Bayonetta, and Vanquish style designs all in the same place. For that reason alone, I can't help but pre-order this shit.

I don't like the MadWorld guy in color. He seems less interesting. Still, this being an MP game, I now completely doubt this is even related to MadWorld, other than the character.

Lol looks like a MadWorld follow up to me. Righteous. If they're pushing a multiplayer experience then they've made the best cal wrt console.

Jack looks strange in color, but not bad. Who are the other characters though? They certainly look interesting, curious about what type of game this is going to turn out to be.
I bought MadWorld out of loyalty to Platinum Games (read - Clover) - it was pretty shit.
Hopefully this will be better. As it stands, MadWorld was a 3 hour game with ZERO replay value, so if they can Dynasty Warriors this game up with split-screen coop, I'm so down.

Gotta say, I don't like Jack in color. I remember back when MadWorld was first revealed and everyone was saying no to Jack being in black and white. Well you dumbasses got your wish.

@ StickfighterTV- Yeah, they also cut the bits where you shove a guys guns up his butt or whatever. I figured that stuff was taken out of self-censorship, or to avoid the ESRB's wrath.

Do not like Jack in color at all, way to Marcus Phoenixy, I am now significantly less excited about this game, but it is Platinum so I will buy this nonetheless
This isnt just Madworld guys. This looks like a 'Super PlatinumGames Bros. Brawl' kinda of ordeal.

yeah i remember that video. it was a bossfight with the gunslinger guy. they said he's name was reference to gay cowboy westernes, and that blowing up his anus just made it worst.

Platinum's making a game? I'm in. This is one of those developers that I follow religiously. I might even rent Mad World, since I have access to a Wii now.
As long as they change it so that it's not just a 3 hour romp through an extremely monotonous game I'm in. I loved the idea of MadWorld, but I don't think it was a very good game. It was fairly enjoyable, and that's being generous.

Meh, they should go back to Max Anarchy. The Anarchy Reigns title is far too generic to kick off what will be a new IP to most gamers. If they stick with that, it's almost garanteed to sell "under expectations"

Correct me if I'm wrong (spoiler: I'm not), but wasn't the blood in MadWorld red? As in, it was *emphasized,* by the fact that the rest of the game was black and white?

I loved Madworld, but it's main problem was all of the levels were timed at 30 minutes only, with no way to increase the clock, De Blob style. That's on thing I'd want fixed in Anarchy Reigns if it's going to be a similar brawler. Oh, and for them to keep Steve Blum's voice for Jack, and have Greg Proops and John DiMaggio to return to do the commentary, as they ere frikkin' hilarious.
