Plasmids are surprisingly dangerous in real life

1:00 PM on 06.05.2013

I know I'm not the only person that's fantasized about having plasmid powers. Andrew Ryan may have been a bat crazy anarchist, but he created a city where super powers became a thing, so he's alright with me. Thanks to TheDangerousBrew though, I have seen the errors of my ways. In their short Bioshock: Too Many Plasmids, they show us what's more liable to happen when crazies like me get the ability to shoot lighting from their hands. Not saying that I would kill my friends. At least, not unless I could get a cool Instagram pic out of it.

Also, this video has an exceptionally creepy ginger splicer and an easy to miss Columbia in the background, so yay to that.

What if BioShock was a Disney musical?

BioShock Infinite may be all the rage lately, but I've had the original BioShock on my mind and so has College Humor. One part BioShock Cliffs Notes, one part Little Mermaid cover, College Humor's latest original is a joyful...more

Weekend reading: BioShock: Rapture novel excerpt

BioShock: Rapture, the prequel to Irrational Games' BioShock, is out July 19. It's not a game, though, it's a novel. Fun fact: Rapture is written by John Shirley, who wrote the the 1994 film, The Crow. Is it any good? Not sur...more

Destructoid review: BioShock

I had almost lost hope. Almost. You know what article I've had sitting in my queue for almost two months? It's called "Requiem for the Single Player Campaign", and it was gonna be good ol' Linde up on his soap box complaining...more

Review: Half-Minute Hero: The Second Coming

The original Half-Minute Hero was a very special and intriguing game. It boiled down an entire genre to its barest essentials, reducing the interminably long JRPG to just thirty seconds of gameplay. Both a heartfelt tribute a...more

Review: MLB 14 The Show

I was ready for last year’s The Show to be its PS3 swansong, I was feeling it. It’s not that it wasn’t good. It was as good as it ever was. But there were signs of age. The same old horrifying fan models in ...more

Review: Neo XYX

The shoot-'em-up genre will never perish, and neither will the Dreamcast. No matter how niche it can get at times, shooters old and new come out of the woodwork in the most unexpected of places, from Steam to legacy consoles. One such release is Neo XYX, a new (yes, in 2014) game for the Sega's last console, making this the second Dreamcast release this year. It's also the best.more
