On a DISC? Nooooo wayyyyy. The game is tiny. The PC version is under 100 MBs. If anything, it'll come on XBLA/PSN/Wiiware.

Too good to be true I would say. There are retail versions for it on PC, but for XBOX360? While having XBLA? I dunno. It would be more possible that GameFly becomes digital instead.

Why does all PvZ screenshots feature such a fucking mess of plants? Surely everyone with a brain arranges their plants in vertical lines of the same plant.

This game would suck without a mouse/touch screen. Remember Cannon Fodder on the Mega Drive? Impossible!!

Yeah, this is a good, worthwhile game, but unless it only costs $20 in disc form, it really isn't worth a full retail release. At least, not by today's standards.

Will we really be able to count on plants, when that fateful day comes? I think not.

This might actually make a great Natal game.

For those calling bullshit: Popcap has released many of their titles on discs already for X360 collecting the XBLA versions. I bought Peggle this way since the disc version with Heavy Weapon and Feeding Frenzy 2 only cost $5. If anything I would say there is no way P Vs. Z will be standalone, but a disc is likely.

I'm with Illuminatus on this one. as much as I hate touchscreen, it is definitely the best way to play this game. mouse is useable too, but if you are trying to collect sun, coins, and deploy plants simultaneously, shit can get hectic with a mouse.

using a console controller will require tactical pausing which is ok I guess, but will make the game a lot slower - or they'll do some lame button mapping like x collects sun, y collects coins, etc..

Yeah, multitouch is the best way to play this game, by far.

Cool a game thats on sale for $5 most of the time will get the $29.99 MS treatment.... Or if your really lucky maybe , just maybe the $19.99 price point! Happy Days!!!

THE ONLY way this would be worth it is if its some POP CAP collection.

Game is radbadical, but a full disc release seems highly unlikely, unless there a metric shit-ton of content included on the disc.

Do want, but also call BS on this, i find it very unlikely unless it's some kind of collection like a XBLA Platinum Hits that includes this, Braid, Shadow Complex, Castle Crashers, Geometry Wars and other well known XBLA games.

I call BS as well, this seems completely pointless and defeats the large amount of money with a small margin of covering production of the game versus profit. They put this shit on XBLM so they can make the money without having to lose out on potential income from physical copies.

This seems like it's a waste of PopCap's time.

Oh that and BECAUSE I FUCKING WANT THIS GAME ON MY XBOX ALREADY. God damn it popcap, you've delayed and delayed and delayed and delayed, give us the damn thing already!!!!!!!

Also, concerning people commenting on how the controls will work, I already see an easy solution:

Selecting what plant to plant would be done with the LB/RB OR LT/RT, cutting down on the problem of sliding the plant into its place. I'm sure this was the biggest concern but if players can do this, they'll be able to move around very easily.

It's literally THAT mechanic alone that would have been a problem, but as long as they're on a separate set of buttons to be controlled, said problem won't exist.

If they do I bet it will be amazing and worth every penny.
