It's disappointing that I think a lot of people overlooked Rockstar's Bully on the PlayStation 2. For anyone who dismissed it as "Grand Theft Auto in a private school," I have news for you -- you're close. But Bully was an impressively polished game, with enough variation in gameplay to keep it interesting, and some clever writing pulling it all together.
On March 4, Rockstar will be releasing Bully: Scholarship Edition for the Wii and Xbox 360, and I'm going to have to insist that anyone who missed it the first time around picks it up. Scholarship Edition contains eight new missions, four new classics (including what appears to be a pigeon dissecting mini-game on the Wii), new items, and two-player offline mini-games. The 360 version will, of course, contain achievements, so it's just a matter of deciding whether or not that's more important than pigeon dissection.
It's disappointing that (based on the screens) the Xbox 360 version hasn't received more of a graphical overhaul, but the price is about right -- both versions of the game will retail for $49.99.

Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?
Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!
Never played it on PS2 but since Godfather turned out so well on the Wii I think I'll probably pick this up.
People may be watching behind your back.
Technos Dodgeball homage FTW!
I'll pass on this thought and just grab the 20$ ps2 version

@Rocky
Was it a guy that kept playing it for hours or are you talking bout yourself?=P
I was always impressed by the voice acting in Bully though...
I really enjoyed the first game... got it when it first came out. *nods with self-approval*
I believe what made it a great game, besides being completely original, was that it did a good job of actually engaging you. Maybe its just cause it had this feeling of nostalgia I could relate to - from so long ago, who knows.
But besides that the game was actually solid - with the added free-to-do-as-you-please feature running along with it. And just like The Warriors, its sound design was great - something that seems to be looked over way too much now in days.
