Phantom Brave: We Meet Again comes to Wii on August 11th photo

Did you miss the Nippon Ichi stratey RPG Phantom Brave the first time around on the PlayStation 2? No worries, as it's on the way back to consoles, thanks to NIS America.

Phantom Brave: We Meet Again is coming to the Wii on August 11th, but it's not the same old game. First off, four new chapters have been added as well as a new character. If you've already played the PS2 game, you can start off with the new content if you wish. It also sports both English and Japanese voice work, a new user interface, and improved graphics.

Phantom Brave: We Meet Again comes in a fancy new slip case (seen in our gallery below) and will also contain a bonus digital art disc, which includes more than 30 artwork files, 100 character illustrations, 60 background artwork, and more.

Anyone out there going to give this another go?

Phantom Brave is probably my favorite Nippn Ichi title for the PS2, and I cannot wait to see how its pulled off on the Wii.

Oh gawd that game was too much for me on the PS2. Somehow the opposite of Disgaea because it didn't have a decent story as far as I played and it wasn't very accessable.

I sucked at SRPGs when I picked this up originally, I'm better at them now, maybe I'll give this a shot.

The free movement really didn't work all the time (characters jumping up and down the same ridge for example) and the limit of turns per character made the game harder than it probably should have been. It was interesting experiment to say the least

I might give this a shot depending on whether it includes some waggle or not. If it does my WII will sit there and continue to gather dust. Fuck motion control and 'casual' gamers, i hate you all.(or the publishers view/stance on you)

this is probably the definitive version of the game with dual-audio...too bad I have the PS2 version already and don't foresee myself buying a shinier copy just for dual-audio.

@highlatency - Yes, games like MadWorld, The Conduit, Punch-Out, Mega Man 9, COD:W@W are just way too casual.

This looks fun, so hell, I might have to pick it up.

I missed it on the PS2, so I'll be sure to check it out this time. Seems like a great package for $40.

I played it on the PS2, and I'll admit it's not really something you'll ever play twice, but it's really good for one run through. It's one of the few games that's made me shed a manly tear.

I played through the PS2 iteration, I really digged the system compared to La Pucelle and Disgaea. Already have this pre-ordered and I am really looking forward to the disc of extras and new levels. I love NISA so much.

Darn, I actually though it was a sequel and not just a re-release with new content. I feel like I spent waaaay too many hours on the PS2 version to come back and start from scratch...

Not a SRPG fan, way too much thinking in trying to get the best formation fo your characters.

I'll most likely pick this up, as I missed the first one and have been looking EVERYWHERE for it.

Looks promising! It's most certainly going to be a Wii Greatest Hit. Along with Fatal Frame IV, Tatsunoko Vs. Capcom, Fire Emblem Radiant Dawn, and Super Mario Galaxy, I will now have this. It seems this year the Wii is making good use of the console; as we also have a few superb titles to look forward to, like Monster Hunter Tri, Metroid: The Other M, and New Super Mario Bros.
