Peter Moore and Microsoft = BFF photo

Peter Moore's Guardian interview last week sent The Blogocube into overdrive as we frantically typed up all the juicy morsels that fell from his feline mouth. One of the most controversial opinions espoused by Moore was that he felt, at one time, that the games industry had passed Rare by.

Eager to prove that this comment, and others directed toward Microsoft, were not made out of spite or with bad blood, the EA Sports man has made sure to show us that he's still Jenny from The Block, as he praised both MS and and its studios.

"I guess you have to work there to truly appreciate what a unique and special company Bill and Steve have built, and I think gamers need to fully appreciate the positive impact that the Xbox consoles, and in particular Xbox Live, have had on our industry.

I worked with a team of people so special and so near and dear to my heart, that not a day goes by where I don't miss them in some way. Same with our studios – the flair and creativity of Rare, the sheer brilliance and focus of Bungie, the game-changing team at Lionhead, and all of the other brilliantly-talented teams that helped drive hardware sales with great software."

So there, Peter Moore loves Micrsoft. And Rare. And Bungie. And Lionhead. And he's no stranger to love, he knows the rules, and so do I.

All the good things they've done, like, charging for online gaming, popularizing DLC, forcing publishers to charge for said DLC, etc.

And here I thought I was safe from that damning 80s tune, but I was wrong, oh so wrong. My eyes bleed.

Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?

Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!
