He's a legend all right but the fable series seems to be killing his legacy. Needs to put out less quantity and more quality.
Mixed feelings towards this, its nice for a Brit to make successful games and be rewarded for it but on the other hand his over the top hyping is ridiculous and is like professional trolling.
I'm glad he's getting the award, I always said he'd win one one day for insanely overhyping his own games.
How could you hate fable? I think its one of the most charming series ever. Just because its not overly deep, you're there for the experience of exploring a lovely world.

Award for what? Saying a bunch of awesome bull shit that doesn't make it into the final game? Making each new installment in a game series, worse than the previous one?

I dont like how some people say "Ignore the Fable series and the rest of his work is worthy of this award".

It's charming visually, atmospherically and is well voice casted, with good British humour, but it's fallen short of what it could have been three times now. That's where most of the complaints come from.
I mean for something that looks this good, the game attached to it was nowhere near the scope it could and should have been.
Now I'm imagining a Fable game with the world size and interactivity of Fallout 3/NV.
And it is glorious.

The only problem was instead of taking what worked for Fable 2 and focusing on what needed a change, they kinda just scrapped the whole thing and started over. A lot of it turned out well, but they missed a few marks.
Still one of my favorite game series right up there with Elder Scrolls and Mass Effect.
