The man deserves it.
The man does not deserve it, as far as I'm aware we should look at his entire life not just the good days.
So you're saying that he hasn't achieved enough in his life to deserve this?
If so, I say you're wrong.
That's kinda stupid. Well in that case look at Yokoi's accomplishments. He made the Virtual Boy. That shit flopped.
Everyone in that group had some sort of failure in their career, but they don't look at their failures, but their accomplishments.
Not a big fan of his recent work, but he had quite a great track record in the 90's.
I have followed his past achievements and it is the main reason why I feel he doesn't deserve this award.
I'd love it if he were able to produce something akin to his 90s hey-day but I'm happy enough with his body of work.
That thing you're doing? You know, that "writing the same comment over and over but using slightly different words every time" thing?
Yeah, that's super effective.
Eh. Maybe you're right? I wouldn't have agreed with that prior to seeing all his games listed together up there, but literally every single on of those games other than Magic Carpet graced my HD during my childhood, and my childhood was a great fucking time.
So yeah, thanks for all the fish, Molyneux.
Peter Moleyneux is a liar, I rate him just under kotick as far as bullshitting goes.
If he had made mistake say not delivering on everything for fable 1 then sure. Thats fine, but he continues to lie and lie and lie.
Deserving or not from his previous works, he should do something worth his name again. The new Fable games look embarrassing.
Considering his overall body of work, I suppose he's still earned his stripes, but these last few years have seen him become more and more out of touch with gamers and with his own games.
I look forward to a time when he's faded so far into obscurity that nobody think he's remotely newsworthy. I feel just as conned as the next guy, so the less I think about him the better.
Oh, I'm not saying the guy is perfect by ANY means. I'm just saying that he's produced more GOOD games than most people could even dream of. Sure, he's fallen off this generation, but I think his past work more than compensates for his current lapse in judgment.
No, he DID interesting things. Now he wants to create shit like Milo or take boring stuff from real life into his game. There's no imagination anymore. Just features and promises that he can't hold and are not even that interesting. When you take Magic Carpet as example. This guy has an imagination like no one else. Fly around on a carpet, destroy enemies and transform the golden orbs to mana orbs so you can build a fortress or take enemy bases. That's some creative game design.
