"Best?" Hell yeah! I always feel kind of proud when one of my favorite games gets bumped into the Best or Greatest Hits bracket. According to retail leaks, it sounds like two of my favorite titles are going to be pushed up into Japan's PlayStation2 the Best collection.
Both Game Star and Amazon say that Persona 3 FES and Persona 4 will join the ranks of the Best on August 5th with a retail price of 2,940 yen.
In related news, other Atlus Best games are getting reprints in Japan. Both Shin Megami Tensei: Persona and Growlanser will hit shelves in Japan on June 3rd. Etrian Odyssey and its sequel will follow on July 15th.
Too bad these aren't bound for the US market. Too bad there's no real life Junes megastore.

Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?
Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!

Can't wait for Persona 5.
If Persona 5 is on PS3, I'll be buying that console just for that game.
I agree, Persona3's story was stronger as it felt like more was at stake than just the future of a small town. Junpei is one of my favorite characters in anything, and every class in P4 felt kinda bland in comparison to P3.
The small town mystery was one of the best things about P4's story. It felt much more original than your standard save the world plot of most RPGs. (Not that P3's story was necessarily "standard", but it was moreso than P4.) Granted P4's mystery didn't entirely payoff in the end, but I do think the original premise was more interesting.
Junpei was definitely awesome, easily one of my favorite characters in a Persona game, but other than him I think P4 had the better cast of characters.
If you say so. I found P4 to be the better game in almost every way, which is saying something given how fucking good P3 was.
When I walk onto the E3 floor in a few weeks and make a beeline to Atlus' booth, if I don't see Persona 5 for PS3, I will fall to my knees in tears and give up on whatever remains of my life.
also: naoto rules.

I think posts like these are justified when it comes to a series as good as Persona. I will fully admit that Persona 4 is my favorite video game of all time, and that Persona 3 FES is up there as well.
