Sims 3 sells boatloads,
undeterred by piracy.
The Brits love it too.

Lots of new content
and a saucy naked patch
may have helped drive sales.

EA celebrates;
they enjoy profits you see.
PR after jump.

REDWOOD CITY, Calif., June 9, 2009 – Electronic Arts Inc. (NASDAQ: ERTS) today announced that the hotly anticipated The Sims™ 3, stormed retail shelves starting June 2nd and sold thru more than 1.4 million PC/Mac units within the first week making it the best-selling PC launch in EA’s history.
