People Can Fly working on the new Gears of War

Epic Games has confirmed that People Can Fly is developmentally linked to the upcoming Gears of War teased yesterday, following speculation that the Bulletstorm studio would indeed be involved.

The confirmation was had on Twitter, where Epic's Mike Capps enthusiastically answered the question with a straightforward, "YES YES YES!" Seems like he's pretty excited to have them on board.

Bulletstorm was a solid, if not wholly mindblowing, shooter, so the team's involvement with a new Gears ought to turn out well. It might give the series that fresh look it rather needs at the moment. Gears 3 was a lot of fun, but you can start to see the staleness around the edges. I'm looking forward to (hopefully) seeing a new direction.
