I think of the budget was right, you could easily make this profitable on the Xbox 360. You have enough of that "bro"ey frat boy crowd that would buy this for mixers and the like.
Also, the avatars wouldn't look like Miis, which is just awful. If I recall correctly, I think they tried something like this on the PS1, and it bombed terribly.

Rating boards are full of crap... they don't allow developers/publishers to take part in rating process, don't ask for context the game will be promoted in and then put fines on them, for doing what they intended to from the very beginning. It's right about time to make some changes to the process, so that kind of situation will never happen again.
It's a funny thing, because if there were like, ratings boards for produce, we would rate a zucchini at E for Everyone, but then you could still use it for some sexual stuff, and it could be advertised as such. So should the rating be strictly on the nutrition (in game content), or does the advertising come into play?
As far as rating content vs context, you can get a blow job while playing Kirbys Epic Yarn but that doesn't make it an M-rates game.
