Peek at concept art from Ghost Recon: Future Soldier photo

The last time we talked about Ghost Recon: Future Soldier (yesterday!) we mentioned that we'd like to see more, and not just read about it. I don't know that concept art really fills that void, but it's better than nothing.

Here's some concept interesting art from the upcoming release. It's all quite lovely, too -- even the exploding ship and the flying dudes (above). As for the locales: lots of snow, lots of water. Russia and men in black, busted aircraft and a rainy port all look like fantastic backdrops for the next Ghost Recon. Hey, maybe concept art does fit the bill sometimes.

Again, remember that those that pick up Splinter Cell: Conviction will get access to the upcoming Future Soldier multiplayer beta. Oh, and speaking of Conviction, the review is in the works as we speak. Look for that soon.

I feel like a dork for wanting a game because of the beta that comes with it.

@HEL105

Trust me, you're not alone: why do you think most of us bought Crackdown, after all?

Just think of it as getting two games (kinda) for the price of one!

Yeah, I bought Crackdown for the H3 beta, too. Don't feel bad.

What's funny is how much time I burned up playing Crackdown instead of H3's full release.

SO PUMPED

also, what is this dumbass U-Play shit in Splinter Cell? Has anyone else noticed this?

@Nolan

The UPlay system just gives you points for doing certain things within the game (usually stuff you do anyway) and then let's you spend said points on additional content through the UPlay section. AC2 did it as well, it's basically an achievement system with points that actually do something useful. You can get a SCAR, a new outfit, a new game type and a shitty standard theme from SC:C.

Some of it was kind of cool, AC2 let you download an Altiar costume for Ezio, additional knives and stuff too.

Still has the same always-on DRM bullshit as other Ubisoft games.

It's a pass from me.

@ Everyday -Ditto, man. I still play Crackdown, hoping the sequel is even better.

Also, GR in an exploding aircraft carrier FTW.

Snowy fjord-like enviroments? Northern lights? Is this Norway!?

I guess the Russians finally invaded us... Nevertheless, this might be the first time I'll see my country repressented in a videogame since my hometown was included in a mission in Command & Counqer: Tiberian Sun. My suspicion is also strengthened due to the fact that Norway was written in large capital letters over the entire scandinavian peninsula in the map shown in the first trailer, thus hinting that it might be one of the playable locations.

Oh yeah, I had forgotten about the whole Halo/Crackdown thing. Sweet, I don't feel so ridiculous, now. Besides, Conviction does seem like a game I'd like, from the reviews.
