When I saw this article and decided to post it I couldn't think of any kind of funny image or caption I could use in conjunction with the post as is de riguer at Destructoid.  There is no way to spin this to make it lighthearted or amusing without also revealing yourself to be a completely amoral sociopath worthy of swift removal from this planet.  The actions of this man are not only disgusting and reprehensible in and of themselves, but the effect they'll have on the gaming world, providing ammunition for pundits searching for a way to demonize games, only serves to compound the issue.

Youtube user, self professed pedophile, and worthless human being Myidisphat has freely, and gleefully, admitted to using Xbox Live as a hunting ground to find and befriend young boys.  Seeming to think himself a champion of a noble cause, Myidisphat attempts to defend his deplorable peccadilloes with worthless platitudes making him out to be a caring person seeking to establish an innocuous connections with children, in the process revealing himself to be a monster of epic proportion.

“Most of the time I’m with boys there is no sexual involvement,” YouTube user Myidisphat wrote following posting video in which he spells out “I ‘heart’ little boys” on Halo 3. “They think I’m cool as hell because I do crazy [expletive deleted] all the time. Of course they love to ruff play. I’m not saying there is sexual involvement, but I’m not saying there isn’t.”

There simply aren't enough words for me to express my complete and total disgust.  At the risk of sounding petty, in addition to the nearly irreparable damage this person has done to too many children, he is happily handing an expansive war chest of ammunition to anyone seeking to paint gaming as a negative force in the world.  There is no way to defend against accusations of human excrement using your service to exploit children other than to say the majority of users don't do this.  To the ears of a scared parent, this is hardly an argument in defense of gaming and could even be misconstrued (purposefully by some) as defense of this type of activity.

Still, the effects this will likely have on the gaming world pale in comparison to the horrific trauma inflicted on far, far too many children. With any luck this absolute monstrosity meets with a swift end, which would still be too light a consequence.
