Come November 17th, we’ll either be playing Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 or Assassin’s Creed II. PC people won’t have much of a choice in the matter. According to Ubisoft, the PC version of Assassin’s Creed II has been pushed back Q1 2010 with every other videogame on the planet.
The delay is official. Ubisoft announced it via its Twitter account, citing additional development in order “to deliver the best quality game” as the reason. Immediately afterwards, the publisher updated the account with information about what it was eating and just how much they hate traffic.
The console versions of Assassin’s Creed II are still slated for a November 17 release.

Real reason? I think that was stated in the first comment.
And Dexter is correct, we will all be playing MW2.
Then again, business school graduates broke the economy, so why would they be any better at selling games?

Seriously, though, I think that sucks, and I'm just glad I opted for the PS3 version.
As a PC gamer, with Dragon Age, MW2, and L4D2.. I'll have plenty to do in November. I do have a PS3.. but it'll probably be collecting dust for awhile, I'd imagine.
Considering MW2 costs $10 more than it should I guess I won't be playing either come Nov 17th.
In reality, I wish this would work. I pirate games simply because I can't afford to shell out for something that turns out to be shit. My money is used as a "reward" to the companies for making a good game as it were. If there are decent copyprotection systems like AA, I'll be more inclined to pay for them, since what I'm getting from the cracked version is literally an extended demo.
But then again, not many pirates download a game for free then buy it if they liked it, I guess.
