Making pies is Cooking Mama's domain. But snatching them, well, looks like it could be The Odd Gentlemen's thing. As promised, the Misadventures of PB Winterbottom is now live on Xbox LIVE Arcade for 800 Microsoft Points.
Presented in black and white with a heavy touch of delicious piano clank as its soundtrack, you'll steer PB Winterbottom through a mixture of "75 unique" puzzles, most of which are probably time-based. You see, the squat protagonist has eaten a special pie that gives him the ability to fiddle with time. So think Braid, and then think beyond its mechanics, and you have a rough idea of what Winterbottom brings to the table.
We're sure more than a few of you are excited for this release. If you bought early, what do you think so far?

Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?
Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!
PURCHASED!
100% of XBLA games have a trial. It's one of the things MS did right. They still have a long way to go.
I have been waiting for this for more than a year and I have not been disappointed yet.
Why do you say that? I mean yeah it would be cool on the wii too, but to say it would be more fitting for the wii? WTF does that even mean? Its an XBLA game, Games with this sort of aesthetic a great fit for all the platforms. Your statement makes absolutely NO SENSE whatsoever.
@jettpack
Go read Birthmarks previous comments. A fanboy like him can't be expected to make any sense.
Looks like a pie eating Snidely Whiplash in Tim Burtonville.
If the early reviews on Metacritic are to believed, this looks like a jolly good time. I'll definitely be giving it a go.
Half the "critisms" you include in your comments are closer to where your interests lie, and while they might be your own subjective opinions, finding fault in other people's subjective opinions is one of the prime examples of fanboyism. FYI, you don't need to be relegated to one console to be a fanboy. If you are willing to put down other people's opinions of games, for the sole reason that you have no interest in their game of choice, then that seems like blatant fanboyism to me.
They also keeps things fresh from section to section by adding new concepts along the way (once again, very Braid-like). So far, there have only been 2 levels that really stumped me (out of 25 or so), but for the most part it's got a great difficulty curve.
So what I'm mostly trying to say is: BUY THIS GAME!
While he's at it he can look up the difference between "quirky" and "kiddy", and he can be reminded that all video games are toys anyway.
toy- 3.something that serves for or as if for diversion, rather than for serious pratical use.
Sounds like a video game to me. Look, video games can be a simple diversion, or they can be art, or they can be turned into a competitive sport, or even a combination of all three. But video games always, and always have been toys.
The same principle applies to movies, or comics, or playing with a baseball, and it certainly applies to the majority if not all games on all three consoles. THEY'RE TOYS.
So now because something doesn't apply to one of the definitions to a word, that makes the definition it does apply to invalid? Are you that ignorant and stupid?
This isn't even worth my time at this point.
One more thing? Video games are sold at Toys 'R Us. E, E+10, T, and M rated games.
Educate us on the evils of the Wii, good sir!
NOT.
Because vidya games is NOT sold in toy stores, kids!
Also also, we should corral all the damned casual gamers and throw them in a big fire! Right, Birthmark?
