If the robberies played out in PAYDAY: The Heist caught your eye but you never got around to downloading, a current Steam promotion for the first-person shooter is under way. Right now, the game is being sold for half price, which comes to a much more affordable $9.99.

More importantly, however, The Heist is free to play this weekend. Considering the focus on teamwork in multiplayer, this is great news for new players and those who already own the PC version. With any luck, the end result should be a more robust community of players going forward.
