Quantcast

At the conclusion of his keynote at the Penny Arcade Expo today, Junction Point's Warren Spector revealed the second half of Epic Mickey's opening cinematic. In it, Mickey finds himself trapped by the Mad Doctor, where he encounters an old foe -- Oswald the Lucky Rabbit. You can see the first half of the intro here.

If you weren't there, you missed the reveal. Sorry about that. But lucky for you, it's right here. We've even got some fancy new screenshots to sweeten the deal a bit. Aren't you glad you stayed home?

Epic Mickey is out this holiday, and you'll probably want to spend some extra cash to get the "epic" collector's edition.

And so the question is answered before it is asked.

What would GLaDOS have looked like had the Apature labs budget been slashed to such a point they resorted to building her out of a Swiss army knife?

Cool. Every new bit of news and video, concerning this game, gets me a more and more excited! Seeing Mickey in a video game again brings back fond memories of the times I had with Mickey in Castle of Illusion(I love that game).
Also, super cool seeing Oswald the Lucky Rabbit.

This was epic indeed this morning at the end of Warren Spector's keynote. The keynote itself was amazing, but this was jaw dropping at Benaroya Hall. The man really made his case for why games like this exist, as well as his love for Oswald the unsung hero.

Gameplay video as well.

First footage that makes it look like a solid (if rough) game honestly, I thought it looked very cheap and shoddy previously. Hopefully it all comes together in the end, but it certainly doesn't show the "over 200 people are working on this" quality that it should, if that's true of course.

About time. The venerated stars of Disney will no longer serve a backseat role to Squre-Enix's trite and bland prettyboys.

The scientist guy in the movie is the Mad Doctor from Disney's 1933 cartoon! They are tying all sorts of older Disney stuff into this game. It must have been a huge project to plan out.
