I have the Limited Edition so I'll be getting both, especially Shuma-Gorath who I am very much looking forward to playing as.
Also I thought you didn't like Shuma's voice, I guess that retweet on Twitter was just serving as an example of some sort, whatever. I haven't seen any controversy over it though and I don't see why there would be any, to complain about such a thing would be very minor when Shuma does speak in the comics last time I checkedd.

Anyway can't wait to play as Jill my RE team will finally be complete and I'll have the motivation to dominate online and agaisnt my friends.

Shuma is, well he's Shuma. He's a lot of fun to play as, especially since he's practically unchanged from MvC2.
But Jill is VERY disappointing. She is a poor man's X-23, until she activates Mad Beast (her level 3) and becomes unstoppable. But why would someone pick Jill over Wolverine, X-23, or even Zero?
Unless I'm missing something, Jill just isn't that great.

With some of the characters that shipped on-disc, I have my fingers crossed that Doc Strange might eventually hit the DLC circuit. Bet he plays like Rose from SSFIV.

@Happy: Doc Strange would be nice, but I want some Doc Oc! I would think Strange would be a bad fit with Doom, Mag an Phoenix already repping a similar style.

Although I'm having fun with the game, I'm not going to pay 5 bucks per dlc character. I'll wait a couple years either when all the DLC characters are packaged together for a cheap price or theres a super version of the game with all DLC characters already on disc.
No offense sir, I understand it's hard being a journalist and all.. .But why aren't you asking questions that are important to that man? Why is everything being nickled and dimed, why where both characters practically finished on disc?

@Ronald Reagan Why would he waste time asking questions that we all know that Seth can't or doesn't know the answers to. Seth has nothing to do with dlc pricing nor is he a game programmer. Not to mention both those questions are pretty stupid questions to ask when the answers are pretty simple to figure out on your own.

Here's the thing with DLC: gamers like to scan the shit out of the vanilla disc to make an excuse as to why we need DLC anyway. DLC is a double edged sword, anyway, but we don't need the irrelevant nonsense of eventhubs commenters saying that we could remove A so we can add B for free. Its how a company works. There has never been a Super version of a VS. Fighter, so using the digital download format is a lot more effiecent and cheaper than buying a super mvc3.

I saw that leaked footage, with Doc Oc and Frank... Got my fingers crossed that it's real. Octavius is one of my favorite characters (he'll, he DATED Aunt May at one point).
Loved his character portrayal in the movie, would love to put him on my MvsC team, especially because I use Spidey as my combo-starter bush.

I honestly was going to pay for these characters until I saw that they were $5 EACH. No fucking way.
Optional DLC my ass! In a fighting game each character is a weapon. A fighting game is a delicate balance and it is potentially broken with "optional" characters that you don't have access to without purchasing. It's only $5 per. Plus only $3.99 x6 for alt outfits. All that "optional" content just turned a $59.99 into a $100.05 game! Pure genius!

I remember unlockables, and I prefer it this way. I'd rather not have to spend my time running around finding hidden crap that doesn't add anything to the game itself just to unlock characters.

Still impossible. The 360 dvd wouldn't be able to fit all of those characters on that disc. They would at least release a GOTY edition, putting all dlc in one code.

The completionist in me demands I have them...but it's being held at bay by my frugalness: No MvsC3 for me until it drops down to 19.96 Xp
And this is the reason I'm holding off on buying the game until it hits the bargin bin, or until SuperMvsC3 hits shelves. Rented the game, and loved it, but this is BS. We heard these characters were coming months before the game rolled out. Now they're gonna hammer us $6 each. Pound salt Capcom.

@littlebigD that's not even fair to the other platform. They would either make it PS3 exclusive or force MS to make HD DVDs the new format. If they would to make MvC3 exclusive, they would lost at least half of that 790K they made.

Will I pick them up? Not a chance. I don't like this "buy" characters crap. It should be "unlock" characters. Not to mention being DRM'd DLC means that sometime in the future these characters will no longer work.

Playing MvC3 on the DS3 dpad isn't a wonderful experience on my thumbs. Most owners of the 360 version has either the a joystick or the very least, a fightpad. So STFU.

And they wouldn't need to make it exclusive. Just load up the blueray, and give litterbox users a 2nd disk to load content onto the hard drive a la Forza 3.
