Since I still picture Resident Evil as a horror series (though that was pretty much excised by 4) I'm not all too big on this one and am personally more intrigued to see more of Revelations.
Mercenaries was still a good way to waste some time with 4 and 5. It's just not the first thing that comes to mind when talking about Resident Evil.

I personally never cared about the story for the Resident Evil games, so yeah I'm totally down with killing zombies without the story.
I'd definitely get this. I do wish they would throw in Carlos and the other (actual) Mercs from RE3 Mercs though.

Y'know, it's great that Capcom is rushing to get some kind of neat-looking product on 3DS as early as they can, but this just doesn't appeal to me.

I'll stick to waiting for revelations, I did really like mercenaries in the past games, but not enough for me to buy an entire game just focused on solely that.

Most anticipated 3DS game since it's coming soon and Ive beat OoT like 30 times. PilotWings and SSFIV3D better be able to hold me off till it comes out.

Why is this not a lunch game? :*( It's mostly the 2 player online co-op that excites me. I dunno, something about handheld Resident Evil Online makes me giddy.

One of the first things I stumbled upon at this PAX was this Super secret place with these demo stations.
Game looks great and feels awesome but I was talking to the Capcom rep and he said that there's only going to be remixed maps from RE4 and RE5. I think it would have been really cool for them to make some exclusive maps specifically for this game.
Also, it was an honor to shake the hands of Hamza and Holmes. Thanks for the Dtoid pin Hamza.

Definitely skipping this game. I'm a big fan of Resident Evil (especially RE4), but not the Mercenaries mode.

Not that big of a fan of Mercenaries mode in RE4, but playing it on the 3DS seems like a cool idea. Shooting zombies on the go just seems like something that would be really enjoyable no matter what. I don't care for the story of the series (only played RE4), so I probably won't be getting Revelations. So yeah, looking forward to this one.

Hey Holmes, I read somewhere that Mercenaries will have over the shoulder shooting as well so you can pick between that and first person, is that true do you know?

I really keen for them to bring Claire back again, but I'm not a fan of the new version of Mercenaries. The old version was more like "Resident Evil Lite" and that was cool, the RE4/5 version is "look guys, another shooter!" and that's... bleh.

Well MT FrameWork must be a really adaptable engine. I guess its way more adaptable than Unreal Engine, because Capcom is getting some amazing visuals out of the 3DS. Plus don't forget these are launch titles, so what are games going to look like in 2 to 3 years from now? When developers know the 3DS inside, and out!

Nope. This game looks like shit. And without a story? Now I've lost all interest. Fuck the mercanaries part. And fuck RE 4 & 5. Especily 5. The entire series has gone down hill. Probably the best game was the Gamecube remake. Also the Wii games are better. So no. I'm not ready or at all interested.

I played this at a preview event. Aiming was easy. Moving around was hard. Knowing (and getting used to) the controls should make it better: My Chris was a crack shot that hobbled around, using health sprays like they were Axe.
so yea, its not just survive as long as you can missions and theres 30 levels, including some that kick it old school apparently.

Resident Evil: Mercenaries 3D seemed like it was a simple rendition of one more popular scare shooters in the industry but tandem attacks and electrically charged punches are sure to excite you. Slated for a summer release, the game will get many comparisons to an arcade shooter.
