That means, assuming some cool four-player party game comes out that requires the use of two wands per person (for the full experience), I will have to buy eight Move wands (and four subcontrollers, if I want to play games that use the joystick). That's a pretty big price tag.
Don't forget the whole 7 Bluetooth things at once. Unless they have a way to offset that, it's pretty much down.
I hate to see all this Move press and such when I just feel that it's going to fall flat on its face.
It's going to be too hefty a price tag for most consumers (the one's who'd buy into this)to want to purchase for a full experience. Whereas Wiis come with a full controller for a single player, if most people owned a Wii to join up and play, there's no controller worries, but alas, PS3 doesn't.
Maybe they can use this next gen like how they're trying to better implement the Eyetoy, but it's too late for Move. The novelty is gone, and that's what sold it to most consumers.
The header screenshot starts to load up and all I see is an unfamiliar lifebar. "New Fighting Game!" I think... only to have my hopes dashed as soon as they were raised.
And as an added bonus, I already have a PSEye, so I only have to buy the controllers.
Does the PS Move is that much "good" that even DESTRUCTOID can not sh*t about it ??? wow....
Hate to say it, but I've watched time and time again as people come in and drop over a hundred dollars so they can play Wii Sports Resort (60+25+25+25). Or a crisp 100 to play Wii Fit. Or 200 dollars to play Rock Band. There was a time I thought no one would drop that much money on peripherals, but people clearly do. At least it looks like Move will be useful for more than just one game. (Unlike two of the three peripherals I just mentioned)
But donīt forget it needs good software. How many people bought TH: Ride or DJ Hero? So I think it wonīt be that easy for Sony to earn some money with this Wii Sports rip-off as Iīm not sure casual gamers can see any difference between those titles except from their price tag.
There's the glory of it. The Wii Fit board is a novelty. The Rock Band instruments are novelties (novelties that have been cross compatible for a while now, too, which is nice) etc. Move will be seen by most consumers who don't read these blogs and such as just another Wiimote for their PS3. PS3-only families may buy into it, but anyone who's owned a Wii for more than a month will probably skip it unless its price point is fairly low, which is partially what garnered the Wii support in the beginning (Aside from Nintendo's reputation with solid first person games and the Wii's novelty motion play).
Call me a skeptic, but I don't really think it's going to take off. RenegadePanda put it nicely with the "Move Exclusive" comment. All they really are now are just Move remakes of crap put out on the Wii for a while now, and tiny additions to already existing games.
Yeah, we call it "PS3 fanboys talking about the Wii" ^__^
Waaaaaiittting paaaaaatieeeently toooo seeeeee if I shouuuuuuuuuuld beeee inteeeeereested!
This whole post all you can do is talk crap about PS Move because you know it is going to hurt the Wii. Watch videos about Motion Fighter and SOCOM 4. Plus Sony is already saying they will have a starter kit with the PS Eye, Move and a game for under $100. There will be hardcore games for the PS Move unlike the Wii that has an endless supply of stupid "workout" games and other junk.
