Brought to you in part by... Total War: Rome II, Play-Asia, Loot Crate, & SXSW Gaming

Update: Arrive early for a special edition of Podtoid Live starring Jim Sterling, Jonathan Holmes, Conrad Zimmerman, and other special guests.

Destructoid presents Karaoke Total War at PAX - with over 7000 songs locally and another obnoxious 15,000 songs online you can request!  Also, want to guarantee we have that rare song you love? Look for it tonight online as a CDG file and bring it on a USB key and we can import it! There are CDG-making apps out there if you want to sing something custom to blow minds.

Huge thanks to our headliner Total War: Rome II, which goes on sale September 3rd. Whoot.

We're lucky to have great friends in the industry who made this party possible: your drinks and prizes have been graciously donated by SXSW Gaming (happening in Austin early March 7-9), a photo booth provided by Play-Asia (our favorite game import shop), and Loot Crate, who will be parking their amazing 40-foot gaming bus of awesomeness right outside the venue on 10th street.  You can't miss it.  Add to that, Razer, Interceptor and Gunnars have all come through with some wonderful swag to hand out. Please show those guys some love for making this happen.

YOU MAY RSVP ON FACEBOOK

The event goes down at 7pm on Sunday, September 1st. Just walk down Pike for less than a mile from the convention center. The address is 925 E. Pike Street - here's directions.

See you soon! Here's the flyer:

High Strangeness lets you shift between 8-bit and 16-bit

Longtime Destructoid community member AgentMOO's High Strangeness was back at PAX this year with a nearly done build. With the help of indie publisher Midnight City, High Strangeness is coming out late this year on PC and consoles. Holmes and Ben "AgentMOO" Shostak talked about the "12- bit" adventure and enemies that get more nefarious and capable as you do when you switch to the 16-bit world.more
