Talk about timing! While I was playing Killzone 3's badass multiplayer at PAX Prime, two Helghast came swaggering through Sony's booth with their dancing shoes on. Then Michael Jackson's "Thriller" started to blast through the speakers and, well ... just take a look at the video.

Not only was this an awesome thing to witness, it also meant that everyone playing Killzone 3 with me was distracted. While the Helghast danced, I went and planted some bombs in the enemy's base, thus winning the round and regaining my crown as the official King of Videogames.

And many thanks to the guys at Sony who held my camera while I stole that round!

I... what... uh... wow.

Sony should hire about 30 dancer, have them all learn the actual "Thriller" choreography, and then do a "This Is Killzone" commercial spot. Can't we make this happen; don't we know a guy over there now or something?

Um ... if this doesn't happen I will firebomb a local school.

@Nick Chester

Not to mention that would be a perfect antithesis to the dramatic live action Halo commercials :)

Was that girl a sony rep or a random part of the crowd? It looked like they just wanted to molest her or something...... It's still awesome though.

I don't give a single fuck about Killzone, but this is one of the most entertaining PR things I think I've ever seen. I highly encourage this.

Those Helgast guys were the best "boothbabes" at the entire show! They were always friendly (without ever speaking). always totally willing to get their pictures taken with fans and just generally AWESOME!

Tonight you are all going to be part of a social experiment. You will all dress as Helghan Soldiers, will learn the coreography to Thriller, and dance till your little feets are bleeding; or else I'll blow you all sky high. Oh, and you might wanna be fast, you only got till midnight.

@Jim Sterling: That would be hilarious! Then, you could post the story here, and then throw profanity-laced insults at yourself like those similar stories. Make it happen!

THIS is how you convince me to buy your game, Sony.

I had no fucking interest in Killzone 3 (in fact I still don't) but even if it just had a commercial along the lines of this, I would be all over the fucking game, even though I hated Killzones 1 & 2.

Killzone costumes like so many game character designs really don't hold up in real life. I imagine Halo armor would look really B-movie as well. Although Matrix has Neo in a generic Anime look, the story made his costume iconic.

Damnit Jim! I was looking for you the whole show. I was on the other side of that GT5 sign, just out of eyeshot. I wanted to shake your hand and thank you for introducing me to Deadly Premonition.
