It's been a long time since DKC2. Sorry, but DKC3 just didn't do it for me at all and DK64 took collectathon to a level of insanity no person should be subjected to.
Basically, it's hard for all of the same reasons that the SNES games were challenging.
-Classic controller support.
-The ability to switch between Diddy and Donkey Kong at will in the single player.
Then it can be great rather than just good.
I don't see one post above yours even talking about the kremlings?
So just exactly who/where are all these "whiners"????????
The only thing that would make me even more excited at this point would be if they announced Dave Wise was composing the soundtrack again.
When I first heard Stickerbrush Symphony a few years back, I started playing DKC2 for the first time just to hear it in-game.
FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK.
Has this goddam game mechanic EVER WORKED?
@Turbofail, Super Paper Mario?
DKC 3 was okay, but it just felt off to me.
In regards to lack of Kremlings, in some recent interviews, Rare had stated that they were actually supposed to be part of a different game in the pipeline, but ended up using them for DKC. Whether or not they control that portion of characters I don't know.
I think this game will do fine, has everything good going for it, especially with RETRO understanding what made the games good in the first place.
Also, I am pretty sure the Kremlins are property of Nintendo, not Rare.
YEA!... I'm gonna buy this and goldeneye special edition for the Golden Classic Pro...
Also whoa at the guy kremling raging. Eat a banana dude.
Please come save the destroyed metroid series!

Through Wiki reference link interview with IGN at E3'10: Retro: "Just an interesting note, the same composer that did all the Metroid Prime stuff is working with Nintendo's composer on the NCL side, Mr. Yamamoto." I'm not sure what NCL side means, but it seems promising that the music will be memorable and provide that DKC atmospheric feeling. Reading the interview will at least make you feel a little more at ease without Wise on the case. A little = hope
But it's all good. I will still play the $#*+ out of this when I get my hands on it.
