Gross! It's not clear if he was teasing something he's been considering, or if something real is actually in the works, but Resident Evil Retribution producer Paul W.S. Anderson brought up a Monster Hunter film during an interview with Japanese site Cinema Today.
When asked what property he would like turned into a film next, Anderson responded, "Recently, I've been loving Monster Hunter! A film conversion is currently in planning."
Again, as Andriasang says, it's not clear if he's planning/working on a conversion, or if he's just toying with the idea and the interviewer (and us).
One one hand, it's a huge franchise that would do well just on the name. On the other, I think it would make for terrible movie material.
