Pata-Pata-Pata Tat: man inks himself with the Patapon army photo

I love a good game tattoo (and by good, I do not mean this), but for me ink has to be subtle and clean or it just doesn't appeal to me. Masatomo Ueda's Patapon tattoo fits the bill on both counts, showing a little army of Hatipon, Yaripon, and Yumipon sieging an attack on this chest. You can read a bit more about it on his blog if you like.

I've honestly never considered a gaming tattoo, despite the fact that gaming has been a part of my life for over twenty years. I suppose I am trying to avoid the inevitable moment where you look in the mirror and age 40 and say "Why did I do that?" On the other hand, I suspect I'll be pulling out the NES periodically for the rest of my life ... so maybe I shouldn't totally toss the idea of a tattoo just yet.

Wow...just wow. Goldenpalace.com tat on forehead is not good. $10,000 is not enough to justify doing that!

I like the Patapon tattoo, though.

Also, that guy should put some patapons with some shields up front unless of course he's just hunting animals for materials.

Quite possibly the only video game tattoo I've ever considered cool. It actually looks pretty brilliant, and I love the simplicity of the Patapon artwork.

I daresay I'm slightly jealous.

Neat ink. I loved the game but I wouldn't say it inspired me so that I'd want a tattoo of it.

Colette: doooo eeeeet. tattoos aren't for everybody but.. DOOOO EEEEEEET. Gaming tattoos can be tasteful and awesome! (I'm a bit prejudice on the subject though)

I really like that tattoo, pretty cleverly done as well...

my dream is to get a t-shirtsleeve to accompany my backtattoo :-)

Over $500 for that tattoo seems a bit steep.

Cool as it is, a single color tat like that shouldn't cost that much.

Best gaming tattoo I've ever seen. It's subtle (does not shout it's origins), has artistic merit even if you don't get the game reference, isn't too large, in a concealed location, is more unique than just plastering a single game character on yourself, and is kinda clever.

"I suppose I am trying to avoid the inevitable moment where you look in the mirror and age 40 and say "Why did I do that?" "

That would require thinking ahead, something that this generation is not capable of.

I normally dislike gaming tattoos and tattoos in general, but this one's a pretty cool idea and nicely done.

getting a new tat this weekend, I want something on my wrist, perhaps gaming related but nothing obvious

I have Terra riding her magitek armor on my forearm. I think it rocks. obvious gaming tattoos like sonic are really tasteless. only two people have ever recognized my tat

It's cool and all. I would never get a tattoo though.

@rainbow checked out the profile and I like your's a lot as well. I'm not really a fan of tattoos on biceps but I do like the image a lot. Another good choice in my opinion.

Silly Colette. All you have to do is wait until you are 40 years old to get a tattoo, then you won't have to worry about regretting it by then.

Stylish. I got a video game tattoo a couple of years back and don't think I'll ever regret it.
