Here's yet another treat to come out of Sony Gamer's Day, a few screenshots of Patapon 2. The first few images are for the single player mode, while the last two are from the multiplayer.
Unlike some members of the staff who seem to adore the little hapless buggers, I have yet to really have the opportunity to sink my teeth into the Patapon series. With its visual style and gameplay mechanics, it seems like a perfect fit for me but every time I start to thinking about buying a PSP, another freaking version of the hardware seems to be on the horizon and I hold out. It's enough to make a man "Go!" crazy.
The game releases in just under a week, so the time to start getting excited about leading your army of Patapon against the new Karmen tribe is probably right about now. Don't forget, however, that the game is going to be available in downloadable form only. Get your memory sticks ready.

I'm passing on the game for the time being since I'm still peeved at the sudden judgment they used announcing the digital-only release.
