This will be old news for a few of you, sure, but for most of us who allowed Pastagames' Pix'n Love Rush to slip into the abyss of our minds, it'll be new enough.
Reader neoREgen kindly reminded us that not only is the game out -- it has been for a while now, hence the preemptive "OLD!" -- it's also garnered many a favorable review and better yet, you can tell yourself "I'd buy that for a dollar" while downloading it -- it is, in fact, $0.99.
Intrigued? There are a bunch of video reviews of Pix'n Love Rush up on YouTube, or you can journey back to our previous coverage of the game which includes some old-fashioned shaky cam footage.
Jordan Devore is Destructoid's PC gaming manager and founding ginger editor. He is said to be easy to love but difficult to know. When Samit inquired about his curious bio photo Jordan simply replied:
"bitches love sandcastles" ... yet, there is no sandcastle in that photo. We may never truly understand his ways.

Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?
Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!
There are a few games for iPhone that do an amazing job at getting around the dilemma of buttons- this is one of them. HookChamp and Super Quick Hook are others.
It definitely takes a great design to pull off.

The game only goes super red if you're doing really well. Colors change from a variety of retro aesthetics.
I liked the look of it from Jordan's first post and happened to stumble upon it thanks to metacritic's best iphone games of June article, currently up on their first page. It has a 91 metascore right now.
It can be a bit hard at times, but if that turns you off of it then you either don't have an iPhone or are a pussy. :P
But no matter how good it is, it's still an iphone game with an on-screen controller. There's no feedback letting me know whether I'm pushing the right spot on the screen, resulting in lots of deaths.
