It's week two for The Sacrifice, and that means we get to learn more about Zoey's past. It also means plenty of additional fuel for the dedicated Left 4 Dead fanfic writers, bless their souls.
The comic delves into the typical conflict that arises when a loved one becomes infected, although it is handled reasonably well. Apparently I have a heart made of stone, though -- Jonathan Ross was sad after reading part two of The Sacrifice; I was not.
At any rate, Valve is doing some neat community things with the comics. Read more about that here, or head straight to the latest installment if you're in a rush or something.
Jordan Devore is Destructoid's PC gaming manager and founding ginger editor. He is said to be easy to love but difficult to know. When Samit inquired about his curious bio photo Jordan simply replied:
"bitches love sandcastles" ... yet, there is no sandcastle in that photo. We may never truly understand his ways.

Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?
Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!
Otherwise it's pretty cool though.
After about 5 or 6 pages the art declines, gets ugly.
The last page in part 2 is now my wall paper
Kinda what I was thinking after he
Thing is, the comic is officially supported by Valve, so the comic has to be canon to a certain extent.
That said, I love the characterization. This is the kind of thing I'd love to see more. Free side stories that give you more insight into the characters of your favorite games. I don't even play L4D that much but I'm already looking forward to the next installment.
P.S. @ Matthey Blevins: I'd cite a character from the new group of survivors for a counter-argument, but every time I try to write her name I pass out for a couple of seconds. So damn boring.
P.P.S. That middle panel of the header image needs a "later bitches" speech bubble stat.
I can't wait until they release versions with no text bubbles, too. It'll be interesting what people do with it.
I also can't wait for next Tuesday to read part 3.
Anyway, who cares about this week? Next week is Francis <3
This really shows in pages 67 to 69, probably the most emotional scenes Ive read since Batman adopted Tim Drake.
Cant wait for Francis' side of things and then the finale. I really hope this is released in book form because I would buy it.
It doesn't really bother me much. I'm enjoying the comic, but I'm not the kind of guy who regularly reads comics. I guess I'm not used to somewhat hasty, over exaggerated drawing styles.
Can't wait for what they've got in store for the characters of the second game.
