Among other news coming out of the Square Enix Party 2007, it appears that the third installment of the Parasite Eve series will be a mobile title.
Specifically, the title will be designed with NTT DoCoMo phones in mind; seeing as how they're the largest mobile phone operator in Japan, it's unclear as to whether or not the game will ever make it to other territories. I'm not a betting man, but I'm going with ... no.
This will disappoint many fans, as the Parasite Eve games (both of which were on the original PlayStation) had some pretty killer cinematic sequences. Unless Square Enix and DoCoMo know something we don't, let's assume those aren't going to translate very well to mobile phones.
If they're getting one thing right, it's keeping the game's main character, Aya, smoking hot. Right, guys? Right? Fap fap fap? Hey, don't walk away from me ...

As much as this should disappoint me, it doesn't. Even though the cinematics in the sequel were good, the second game as a whole was nearly garbage. The first one will always be legendary for me, but this just further cements how far the mighty have fallen.

How the hell was the 2nd one a piece of shit? It was a nice change, and was still more fun than resident evil despite having the same control scheme. This was my favorite series for the ps1, and now it's been shat upon.
i was talking to my blogmate, kerry, the other day, about how much i'd love this game coming back. a couple days later, news of it. but a cell phone game? fuck. my heart is broken. and not a metaphorical matter. it hurts.
where's the money in phone games? i'm sure there's a bit. but if they put this on the 360 or ps3 or both, it'd be a cash cow. and we all know how much square loves the clink.
do us fans of favor, square. do us right. release this game on something we'd actually play it on. shit, i'd buy several 360 copies.
