Painkiller Hell & Damnation has been out on PC since Halloween, just long enough that I had forgotten console versions of the no-nonsense first-person shooter were ever announced. They were, and according to a new update from Nordic Games, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 gamers will have to continue waiting until April 5, 2013.

"We have been working around the clock to bring the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions of the game in line with the quality and standard of the PC game," explained production and business development manager Reinhard Pollice. "There has been a slight delay so that the console communities can enjoy the fiendishly ghoulish experience that we know they want and deserve. In taking this additional time to add the final touches, we know that players will realize that the best things do come to those who wait!"

If anything, this serves as a good reminder that I still need to go download Painkiller HD. If you're fine with the console port or don't have a choice in the matter, know that it'll be launching at $29.99, with a collector's edition priced at $39.99.

I love the song in this Painkiller Hell & Damnation vid

The launch trailer and opening cinematic for Painkiller Hell & Damnation is dark and  pretty dramatic, but it's set to to a strangely upbeat song, "Painkiller," by Siri Svegler. This odd mix works well together. &nb...more

Review: Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare: Havoc

Call of Duty map packs are definitely a mixed bag. Fifteen dollars is pricey by any standards, and the prospect of one or two remade maps and a grand total of four arenas isn't anything to get excited about. Advanced Warfare's new Havoc DLC has just arrived this week on Xbox platforms, and it's par for the course in terms of what you'd expect. As usual though, zombies save the day.more

Misanthropes rejoice: Evolve's solo mode is looking good

Sometimes I am in the mood for good competitive multiplayer action, and thus far Evolve has looked like it will be up to that task. Other times, I'd rather not deal with other people, and that's okay with Turtle Rock's multi...more
