And how is Street Fighter 2 or the turtles arcade game not on that list? I mean really guys, come on.
Funky Cold Medina has traveled to the future to write about videogames. Either that or it's her clone, evil twin, or a new shape shifting alien that is taking the form of 80's video girls to take over the planet.
I for one welcome our new alien overlord, Ms.Victoria Medina although you will eventually suck my brains out and choke me with your tentacles, I am glad to be an acquaintance.

Here, let me help you with an alternative headline: "Advertisement: KontrolFreek accessories--Also, surveys"
That both works and isn't deceptive at all.
Also, cocks.
I would personally trade Mortal Kombat for Dig Dug on that list though.
Anyway, old games are old. Definitely games you visit in the nursing home to get your nostalgia on but... I can't see spending money on them. Maybe it's because I played the hell out of all of them when they were new. I dunno. Oh, also: WTF is Mortal Kombat doing in that list of classics? Pretty weird placement...
I like the list... it has a lot of the original games that were around (my boyfriend at the time was addicted to space invaders!) I think one of the reasons that pac man stayed at the top was that it was one of the most common games, but it was also one of the games that came in the "bar table" version where you could sit and have your drinks and there was the pacman game under the glass top of the table. I still remember many fun hours sitting in a local bar playing pac man while waiting on my shift to start (my summer job when I was a university student)
The people voting were allowed to vote for 10 out of 47 choices and just under 80% chose Pac-Man as one of the 10 best on that list.
I knew something was up when I saw those results.
Oh, and Street Fighter II is number 11 and Mario Kart Arcade(?) is number 12. What the hell is Mario Kart Arcade? This list is bonkers. I'm pretty sure it was a survey of completely random people who may or may not have ever PLAYED video games who just voted for 10 things they've heard of.
Hell, I'm usually one to berate newbies for not knowing the classics, but this list is all nostalgia and little actual quality. Other than Asteroids and Galaga, those games are just not very interesting.
Galaga
Tron
Street Fighter II
Star Wars w/the sit-down cockpit
Defender
Joust
TMNT
X-Men
