Anyways, I'm glad I waited for the Vita version. Seems like what should have been released to begin with.
Also, I don't think I've seen any fighting game generate as much salt as this one, for one reason or another.

So... I got burned by not getting the PS3 version to begin with, which I did because all my friends in fighting games have 360s not PS3. If I decide to get a Vita and SFxT I'm paying for the 360 version, the DLC and the Vita version. If I had gotten the PS3 version I'd only need to pay for the game twice... Doesn't seem like Capcom has a way to win on this one, nor are they looking for a way to win.

So Capcom is going through with the $20-for-Xbox-version 12 DLC characters being free for the PS3, but only if you buy both the PS3 and Vita versions of the game?

I don't see that as an incentive to buy a Vita. I see that as an incentive to be pissed at a Vita. Excluding people is not a good marketing ploy IMO.
Yeah, Tekken on the VITA would be sweet. If I had to choose, I would go with SFxT over UMVC3, simply because of the advancements in mechnics, the console connected infrastucre and, gfx.
This quite possibly is the worst generation of gaming. Where buying a brand new version of the exact same game to unlock characters already in the game you've purchased for your console is an "incentive." Where this "incentive" completely disregards half of the market the company originally targeted. Where their bullshit DLC practices go completely ignored, and usually FORGIVEN, by consumers. Where anyone who dares speak out against it is called a troll, a whiner, entitled, or told to shut up and not purchase it if they dislike it by people who feel they should defend the company. Where doing your job as a consumer is forbidden because you'll slander the name of the great company.
Will the people who still buy these products ever stand up and say "I don't like this"? Or will they quietly sit by, purchasing or not, or shouting "YES, PLEASE, LET ME GIVE YOU MORE OF MY MONEY TO LOCK AWAY PARTS OF YOUR FINISHED GAME!"
The Mass Effect 3 movement was, despite any haters, absolutely fine. They did what they should as consumers. They purchased a product, found it not to what standards they had paid for, and organized a nationwide movement to improve it. Despite my hatred for EA, they handled it extremely well by offering new, free DLC that is intended to appeal to those who felt shorted. Yet the consumers were written off CONSTANTLY as whiny entitled gamers.
It's like people don't realize that as paying customers they're entitled to a complete quality product and that it's okay to complain if they don't feel they got their money's worth because THAT'S WHAT A CONSUMER DOES.
Sometimes I wonder if my hobby really isn't worth it, anymore...

It seems like we are slowly getting there. We don't have the majority, but more and more people are coming over to the right side of the argument. Don't lose hope yet buddy, the defense forces have nary a leg to stand on these days with cap's shenanigans making them all look like fools.

Disc locked DLC, day one DLC for almost every single game out there, "Complete editions" of games a year old (or occasionally barely six months) now packed with the DLC to sell again that almost invalidates buying the original game in the first place completely...
Now other ideas like online passes are becoming just as popular!
And this shit's just going to keep going, because nobody is standing up and saying "No, we won't take this." Instead, people are sitting idly by, or taking it while screaming for more.

@excel-agreed. I recently sold all my gaming equipment and purchased an ipad3. I get 10+ fun games for the price of 1 console game. I'm not gonna be apart of the next gen of home consoles.

Seems like a way to fool people into thinking that they're not going to put DLC up immediately. Seems worse actually. You have to buy the Vita version to unlock 12 more characters, and that's only on PS3!
