This seems kinda nice. Gotta love space. Although, it also seems a bit TOO casualized for my tastes. Will keep an eye out for it, in any case. Thanks for the article!

This seems kinda nice. Gotta love space. Although, it also seems a bit TOO casualized for my tastes. Will keep an eye out for it, in any case. Thanks for the article! Looks pretty cool, for only 10 bucks. I love space sim games but have never really played the 'classics' of the genre so I'm always looking out for new great ones. Plus Sunshine is one of my favourite movies so the mention got me pumped. Will be looking out for this. I'm in the market for a new PC come Q1/Q2, and this looks like a nice and cheap nugget to get my feet wet with. Radar blip added. Space combat/4x games are awesome (if you do them right). Bring them to the consoles alright already. They offer nice satisfying strategy without melting your graphics card. Darkstar One, while it can get repetitive, is fucking great. The console version is also very good. They did a lot with just a controller and made it work well. What someone needs to do is a gta type game in space with interplanetary landing of course . That's why i never truly loved space trade combat games- I want to explore space stations at least and get out of my ship I remember playing Freespace to the point where I could still see the HUD whenever I closed my eyes. Space sims aren't where they used to be. Once the peak of triple-A development, today the genre's torch is carried mostly by outfits catering to hardcore, nostalgia-seeped joystick-grippers. And while that approach has proved...more
