Our new Episode 7 is up on Podtoid.com screenshot

There's nothing like a creating a brand new web site, a national holiday, and the launch of a new console weekend to prevent the timely launch and production of a video game radio show! Now that we've lost enough sleep, camped our systems, bought our Wii's, burned through Zelda, and survived ... we bring you the ghost of Dtoid past, Podtoid Episode 7, recorded two days right before the Wii launch when Summa was the most envied person on earth for having one early.

Finally, you can now subscribe to our Podcast feed and easily access the earlier shows on www.podtoid.com, the new home of all things Destructoid podcast. Our feed has also been submitted to iTunes, so that will work when Apple stops eating turkey and is back in the office. Hopefully the thousand or so listeners we once had will find their way back to this new show, as we now have ... um ... six. Whoot!

In this episode your regular hosts and special guest Roly (You don't know Roly? Why, he's a random guy our community manager found on our Ventrilo server!) talk a lot about the Wii, the community, humping giant ceramic tigers, Elite Beat Agents as a contender for game of the year, my typing game and excessive peripheral device fetish, and more!

00:00 -- 01:15 ... Clap Clap Clap! Introductions
01:15 -- 05:49 ... Lovin' Wii Sports, Hatin' on Excite Truck's price tag
05:50 -- 09:20 ... Wii love Zelda and it's weird controls
09:21 -- 09:59 ... Wii component cables, worth $30?
10:00 -- 11:52 ... Shopping for games for an unreleased system
11:53 -- 15:22 ... Red Steel might suck, Elebits sizes up to Katamari?
15:23 -- 16:59 ... Weird rod-like Wiimote copycats on the way
17:00 -- 19:39 ... Wii Shopping, Mii, and Nintendo online limitations
19:40 -- 20:00 ... Sega Dreamcast: Seaman appreciation moment
20:01 -- 20:52 ... Zelda reprise -- stick with it
20:53 -- 28:05 ... Halo 3 by Spring? Christmas? Join us in Vegas at CES!
28:06 -- 39:39 ... Roly-- retail in Canada, his PS3 under delivery saga
39:40 -- 49:59 ... Merryl Lynch says 60 will win ... $100/box to stay?
50:00 -- 63:59 ... Typing of Y's, hawt models in EBA
64:00 -- 69:59 ... Our eldest, Grey Bush Workman, turns 65. No, really!
70:00 -- 77:29 ... Site updates, our new web sites (NextLust! MovieKick!)
77:30 -- 79:59 ... Gamers are not GAP models, unless you work for Dtoid
80:00 -- 90:00 ... We forget we're doing a radio show, hit the forums

This week's show was once again engineered by Mr. Dale North who also arranged the musical intro. If you'd like to be on the next installment of Podtoid check out the Destructoid Forums on Podtoid to submit conversation topics and place dibbs on become a guest.

I'd call dibs on a spot on a Podtoid, but I never have anything interesting to talk about.

12:28 "Janky"? I totally can't wait for Elebits, especially if it's not janky.

Oh, and I love the new opening theme and music. Intro gives me a very transformers-esque vibe.

I am coloring my "GreyBush" as we speak. Brown like a clown Charlie Brown.

Chris, thanks - glad you liked it. That is precisely what I was going for: Transformer feel.

Hey wait...put me on the show.

You can bet that I'd be all over the show if I had a mic, but alas, I do not.

Maybe I'll hop on Ventrilo later for the first time. I'm a tad on the shy side so even if I do hop on I might not talk at first

Summa way underrates Wii Sports. I've probably played that as much as I've played Zelda so far. The difference is that I play Zelda for like five or six hours at a time and I play Wii Sports one or two at a time.
