loved red deads single player bit strapped for cash now but when i find the spare change i'll buy this straight away
They really should have cashed in on this sooner, I haven't seen a single person playing Red Dead on my friends list in a month or two.
First glance my brain goes "another zombie thing, meh" but back-up reptile mind says give it a chance. Rockstar does good work and a zombie horse...well, that is quite alright in my book.
What I know is that I want it now. RDR is one of the greatest games I've played and have another reason to come back to it is nice.

You know, I find it interesting that these screenshots show John as the playable character. They might just be doing that for the sake of promoting the game, since showing Jack would be be rather spoiler-ish. But I kind of figured the zombie missions wouldn't start until after the main story so it wouldn't get in the way of the main story.
But if you can play through Undead Nightmare as John, then that pretty much means they found a way for this and the main story to co-exist with each other. I'll be curious to see how that works

I hope its as sweet as Tlad and BoGT were for GTA 4... altho i doubt its as long and well crafted as they were.
Looks pretty cool. Not many people I know still play RDR though.

It would be interesting if this is part of the main story, but I highly doubt it. John is the face of RDR and these missions are probably just an entity that exist outside of the main game.

@phunkyphazon - (SORTA SPOILERS) this is probably be like all those random anime movies were they bring back favorite,but dead, characters and put them in a story that has nothing to do with the main series. So it gives them a sorta what-if story. (I.e. Cowboy bebop, Trigun, and about every other show)

This looks amazing. I am going to be getting this day 1. If they need to fit it into the story, perhaps John (since he is dead) COMES BACK FROM THE DEAD!! Only everyone else starts to come back as well so to cure the walking plague that stalks the night he must destroy all of them, thereby destroying himself, but also redeeming himself?! Just a thought. :-)
Here's hoping I can just check [Zombie Mode] in the options menu and have the whole game world switch over.
I find it odd that I held on to GTA4 for so long hoping a zombie online, get from one side of the city to the other, co-op thing would happen (zombies in a gigantic Liberty City...it would have been glorious), and now it's popping up in a Western themed game. Lose the goddamn infection crap though. This should be honest to God, Satan's mischief on Hallows Eve. I miss zombies created from dark magic. :(
ya know, im wondering. i dont ever recall seeing ALOT of people around at once in RDR. so im wondering how many zombies will be on screen. their speed ,attacks etc. not trying to compare it to DR2 or anything but i just dont see the zombies posing a threat in this
i mean how hard could it be to run past 10 zombies in an open prairie? especially on a horse.
but i hope there's a mining colony filled with undead that breaks out into the open land. where during the mission you have an indiana jones mine cart scene with zombies all over the place, getting smashed by the cart while shooting from inside it. i also wonder if the game mechanics mean dismemberment?

I just started playing deadlands with my gaming group around the same time that I started playing red dead redemption (I'm late) and kept thinking to myself that this game would just get better with zombies. So glad this expansion is coming out.
Am I the only one who thinks they should make an open world samurai game simular to red dead. Just think, wondering the lands with a price on your head, and other samurai hunting you down( like posses)
@Darckcloud: I was thinking more along the lines of a pirate game. The choices are endless as long as the story is good.

I wonder if Luisa's sister's parting comment about meeting again, "Perhaps in some other life" (or words to that effect), is involved here somehow.
