Have a burning desire in your loins for more Osu! Tatakae! Ouendan? Don't read a lick of Japanese? If you answered "yes" to these questions (and even if you answered "no"), then The Platformers have something special for you.

Somebody a lot smarter, and more dedicated to excruciatingly difficult rhythm games, than I am has translated all of the vital information that you're likely to need. Keep in mind that these translations are for Moero! Nekketsu Rhythm Damashii Osu! Tatakae! Ouendan 2, which is different from any (hopefully) upcoming Elite Beat Agents sequel. And by different I meant that Ouendan is all Japanese and scary and that EBA is all Western and still kind of scary.

That being said, order Ouendan 2, check out the gallery, and get your beat on. Still on the fence about the whole Ouendan thing? Look no further.

[thanks, as always, to BlindsideDork for the tip!!]

Ouendan isn't that difficult. Compared to gitaroo man masters play, it's a cakewalk. Even guitar hero in expert mode is harder(in my opinion, anyway).

So maybe "excruciatingly difficult" is a little stong?

Dude, Ouendan is by far the EASIEST rhythm game I've ever played.

Also, I don't understand why anybody would ever possibly need menu translations. I played through the first Ouendan entirely by myself, and there wasn't even one single thing I couldn't understand with visuals alone.

Look: a shadow of one dude. Obviously, single player. Shadows of multiple dudes. Obviously, multi-player. A bubble thingy that isn't either of those. Well, this one you'd have to have played the first or EBA to see it obviously, but yeah, it's training. And through the power of the fact that's it's the only possible thing left, the last one is options.

Either way, I've already got mine ordered. Just gotta wait for it to come in the mail...

Whatever needs to happen for EBA2 to come out needs to happen. These Japanese songs don't do it for me. It's not fun unless it's a song I can recognize.
