Ormagoden demands 666 mil Brutal Legend demo downloads... photo

... or we all get swine flu. When Ormagoden demands something, everyone has to listen. With a name like that, he means business.

Thankfully, Double Fine will be doing its part to lessen the possibility of widespread torment. On Rocktober 1st (aka next Thursday), the team will be partaking in a live Dem-o-Thon starting at 12:00 PM PDT. Hijinks are bound to ensue, so don't forget to check back on the official Brutal Legend site for the live stream.

Additionally, Q&As plus giveaways will be taking place via Twitter.com/BrutalLegend. At the very least, it'll hopefully lessen the pain of our impending doom.

Double Fine is quickly winning my heart for favorite western developer. Quick! Harmonix! Bioware! Do something awesome!

I've already downloaded the demo for both consoles. Brutal Legend is high on my list of games to buy this holiday season.

Perfectly reasonable to expect 10% of Earth's population to download it.

Also, this has gone from "meh" to "first-day purchase" because of the demo.

I downloaded and loved the brutal legend demo.

It took me as long to download as it did to play.

I'm not very impressed with it. The controls felt a tad unresponsive. The button mappings felt a bit strange too. I don't think there was a jump button, either which could spice up the combat and open up platform gameplay.

There were some very good scenes, but it felt like they were trying too hard to be funny and some moments fell flat.

It's feeling like it could be 8-ish as opposed to 9-ish kind of game. Oh well.

I fell in love with the menu. It's the little things this game does that goes a long way
