As promised, Sonic the Hedgehog ($2.99/£1.99/€2.69) is out now for Android devices via Google Play. Widescreen support at 60 frames per second, a remastered soundtrack, leaderboards, achievements, Time Attack mode, and playable Knuckles and Tails are in for this port. iPhone and iPad owners will be able to access to these features through a free update to the iOS version of Sonic, so there's no need to feel neglected.

Will I download this for a mobile device? Not likely. I'm too accustomed to playing  with a gamepad. That said, someone's going to -- someone who might be familiar with the iconic character but not the classic games -- and that's, in its own way, neat to think about. Kids these days.

La-Mulana 2 aims to be more 'intuitive,' still hard as heck

La-Mulana was regarded by some as the hardest game ever. This isn't going to change, though Nigoro's Takami Naramura wants it to be slightly more intuitive so perhaps all those deaths don't lead to warranted frustration and ...more
