An Arcade game? Really, Crysis on the XBLA?
The guys behind Torchlight 2 have some goddamn explaining to do! All I heard from them is how much size restrictions kept them from putting it on XBLA. I seriously doubt Torchlight 2 is bigger than Crysis!

I read earlier that there's actually extra content in this version so it could only possibly be "gimped" graphicaly.
Of course if you were playing crysis for the graphics then you were playing it for the wrong reason.

Loved to death the series on PC, hated Crysis 2 on PS3. Hopefully this version will be worthy of a re-buy

they did say on GTTv that it will be digital only on consoles. Will probably be on Games on Demmand, not XBLA
The hardware of the consoles meets the minimum requirements for the original game. It's just not going to compare to a DX10 machine with all the trimmings graphically. I would expect the game has been ported to CryEngine 3 for console friendliness.

Remember when Jim tried to get PC gamers riled up by emphasizing the loss of a (four year old) exclusive? Console gamers getting Crysis has no impact on my preference for PC gaming. In fact, I'm always glad to see the walls of exclusivity come tumbling down, especially if it leads to well made versions for each of the available platforms.
Yay. More mediocrity for everyone! The only thing I really enjoyed about Crysis was the different fun things you could pull off with the Nanosuit. Crysis 2 changed the suit and killed a lot of fun, leaving you with a straight up linear romp against terrible AI. They are changing the Nanosuit in this version of Crysis, I assume to be like the one in Crysis 2, so there is absolutely no reason for me to care that this exists. It will basically be Crysis 2 in wide open spaces and without the surprise of OMG there's aliens. Have fun with that.
I'll pass on this. I played Crysis for PC and quite frankly I wasn't impressed. It was pretty, but ended up being a mess of a game. Crysis 2 was superior in every category, save for PC fanatics fapping to their rigs and posting what FPS they pull at max res.
But how much is it gonna cost? I doubt it will be 1200 ($15) or even 1600 ($20). I'd happily pay the full $60 for this, but if it's successful, will EA start charging even more for downloadable games?
I'm confused, as not being much of a tech guy, but how exactly is Crysis going to fit the 2GB requirement for XBLA? I just... don't really see how this is possible, when Torchlight II is not going to see a release because its too big. I could see if Microsoft was putting it as a Games on Demand title, but this clearly says XBLA.

I actually own Crysis for the PC, but it just doesn't run that well, at all. My laptop isn't what you'd call "top of the line," but there's really no excuse for why Crysis 2 can run pretty excellently on Very High, while Crysis on Medium/High still gives me heartache. I can't wait to buy this.
if it's XBLA title then maybe MS will increase size of the games allowed to be sold on their platform.

The original Crysis, on c-c-c-consoles? What is this sorcery. When lowly *gulp* console players can play a clearly inferior port, it's still not a world I want to live in because that game was optimized for PC, god's chosen platform. We can't just give it away all willy nilly like that to the riff raff that is the c-c-c-console players.

Press release says it's 1600 points/$19.99. Totally buying even if it's single player only. Hopefully it is so I can finally %100 a game (multiplayer achievements can eat my ass).

I can't actually see this working lol. PC players are use to downloading entire games, I don't think most console people are. I think they should have just re-released it on disk format.

I agree with all of this except the last comment. I don't really see how PC gamers are any more likely to get angry than console gamers. I mean.. look at Jim's ranting about.. everything else (Microsoft, Sony, Nintendo). It's just that PC gamers are strawmen that everyone on Dtoid can agree to make fun of. I had totally given up hope for a port of some sort when #2 was announced. As for it being only single player- I don't care, don't play multiplayer much anyway, I have enough vices and time-wasting devices as it is, so yeah.

I'm looking forward for Crysis as a downloadable on the console of my choice. But i will not be able to look far, as everything will pop up right at my feet ^^
But but Crysis was only good because of graphics, lol @ what console only players used to say, now they will be all over this, as am I, never could run it in a respectable frame rate, played it on the friends rig and boy was that shit awesome. Now we can all see how much of a downgrade Crysis 2 is, even you Jim, even you.
But on another note, Jim are you sure this is psn/xbla, I knew about this since yesterday night and I don't remember hearing anything about this, and if anything I could only assume capitalism will take place and charge 60 dollars for this game at half the graphics and 4 years later.
