This game looks so awesome, I've wanted something like this ever since I played RE2 and RE3 as a kid.

My argument there is this game is action oriented and they haven't hid the fact. Not to mention when you got Chris punching boulders and Leon dodging a million lasers. Killing a licker with a knife like that doesn't seem to far fetched.

RE2/3 Wesker would have been pissed if he met those guys and got to know just how lame he was compared to them. But shush, it's okay RE5 Wesker, shush shush, you will always be the most badass.
I still can't believe Chris punched a boulder so much that it genuinely moved... that would take some strength.
Video looks good, but if the gameplay reflects the video I'm a little disappointed. Why has Capcom gone so far in the "move action" route lately? I'll be happy when they go back to their roots a bit and make an over the shoulder (ala RE4/5) but with zombies and actual survival horror--not "here's enough ammo for the rest of the game, go at it."
Oh Im loving how the enemies are all foriegn with thick accents and the "heroes" are tough americans

I think they are doing something wrong. I am starting to hate that elite squad, they are all douche bags, wouldn't even remotely feel heroic playing as those guys. The whole idea of killing characters from the series, like Leon and Chris, wouldn't that completely fuck the rest of the story line? Like Salvador would unleash las plagus as Leon isn't there to stop it?

It's depressing to hear a fan of the old series support this degradation of what made resident even a good series in the first place.

I feel you dude. Capcoms kinda lost it's focus with some of its older IPs. I'm somewhat interested in this game because it's a return to familiar territory (raccoon city, actual T-Virus zombies opposed to sentient prehistoric parasites with the ability speak, reason, drive, use weaponry and just so happen to be plotting world domina--WHUT?)
That said, I know the misguided attempt to appeal to western gamers with egregious over the too action sqeuences an quick time events as if we're all wracked with extreme attention span issues will be present, so I'm debating it.

They need to add some Dino Crisis DLC to this game. Now imagine how awesome alternate costumes would be? I WOULD BUY THAT! It's probably too late now, but they should make Frank West, and Chuck Greene playable. I'm sure they could just release a new SKU for that before Christmas... along with more alternate costumes!!!
