Operate on aliens in new Surgeon Simulator procedures

9:00 PM on 09.26.2013

The Surgeon Simulator 2013 has come through for us all. There was another alternate-reality game hidden inside of this hilarious title from Bossa that sounded like a real headache to solve -- but it's been figured out, thankfully, and the reward for doing so is pretty great.

YouTuber MattShea369 walks through the process. To dive into the new surgery, start by going to the the brain transplant operation in space. There's a keypad on the right -- enter the code "296145." You'll return back at the office with a new VHS tape that has alien symbols. Toss that into the player to start operating on an alien. Quick question: What's a Gavichal?

Still funny: Surgeon Simulator out now for iPad

I laughed three times during this trailer. The patient being beaten in the face with his own heart, the distended eyeballs, and the demented writhing at 43 seconds. If you have a friend or family member with an iPad, buy the...more

Become a dentist in Surgeon Simulator for iPad

I love and hate Surgeon Simulator 2013, but mostly, I love it. Losing is hilarious at first, don't get me wrong. Then that humor begins to fade away as you repeatedly fail to complete the same objective over and over again b...more

Surgeon Simulator 2013 ARG isn't related to Half-Life 3

Mutilate Team Fortress 2's Heavy in Surgeon Sim 2013

You've got to appreciate Surgeon Simulator 2013, even if it's not something you want to necessarily play. One could argue that, more than anything, it plays you. A fun bit of extra content has found its way to the goofy, cha...more

This Surgeon Simulator cake is super gross

The guys behind Surgeon Simulator 2013 had a special cake made to celebrate the game's success. It's themed after what you do in the game, and well, it's pretty damn gross. So gross that I put it below the fold in case you'r...more

Super Best Guide! Surgeon Simulator 2013

People have complained that Surgeon Simulator 2013 is almost unplayable thanks to its fun-but-impregnable controls. This is not actually true. The recent Greenlight release is actually pretty simple once you learn a few medi...more

Nefarious 'gamifies' kidnapping the damsel in distress

Inspired by the likes of Earthworm Jim and Mega Man, Nefarious sticks with platformer tropes, with one inversion: you are kidnapping princesses. And each princess you kidnap changes how your character controls and ...more

Gone Home coming to Wii U

Gone Home. It spawned the worst debate since, "Is it art?" the dreaded, "Is it a game?" Thankfully it lead to more thoughtful writing, too, outside of that human centipede.  It was previously announced for undisclosed co...more

Shovel Knight looks great in 16-bit, Aegis Defenders just looks great

Oh my goooddd. How did I miss this until now? It's like a Nausicaa game. Thank you sir Shovel Knight for making a cross over appearance (above) in Aegis Defenders, which is how it came to my attention.  The Kickstarter already passed its initial funding goal and its PS4 stretch goal. Local co-op and a Wii U version are up next. Here's hoping. This looks amazing. more
