Oops: 'Tales of Vesperia Wii' is actually Tales of Graces photo

You know you need a new brand name when your own staff can't remember which franchise game is coming out for which platform. That's what happened in the case of Rikiya Koyama, a Vesperia voice actor.

Koyama commented on his blog that "Tales of Vesperia was released on the Xbox 360, and now the PS3, and soon a Vesperia for the Wii." Needless to say, the hint brought tears of joy to Wii-owning fans alongside cries of (further) betrayal from Xbox 360 owners.

A few days later Koyama retracted the statement and apologized, saying that he confused Tales of Vesperia with Tales of Graces, the actual Wii release, due next month in Japan. I feel a little sorry for him, because he's not even going to be in Tales of Graces' voice cast.

Wii-owners who want a taste of Vesperia's excellent character designs (by Kosuke Fujishima, a.k.a. the Sakura Wars guy) aren't left entirely in the cold, as the first piece of DLC for Tales of Graces is a Vesperia costume pack, of which you can find a snazzy video below.

Then again, that Vesperia costume pack costs money, officially making Graces the first JRPG on the platform to have paid DLC. Good going, Namco Bandai!

I guess it's not all bad, Wii owners get a platform exclusive title instead of a cheap port. Would be nice to have both, but I guess there is still a silver lining to it.

I didn't know you became staff! A belated congraturations to you.

Also, seconding what Nic128 said. I usually hate Yuri, but he did a great job in Vesperia.

Still, I want Graces and Vesperia PS3 to come to the US! I feel painfully left out of the whole "Tales of" party this generation.

What do you expect from Japanese voice actors?

Anyway this game looks really good and better than Vesperia anyway(not that ToV was bad it is just it was pretty much just Abyss 1.5).

Don't you talk bad about Namco, they've only forgot to bring over Tales of Heart, Tales of Innocence, Tales of Destiny : Remake (DC), Tales of Destiny 2, Tales of Rebirth, Tales of the tempest, Tales of Phantasia psp, Tales of Versus and Tales of Vesperia ps3.............

.............. damn, they suck, I can't even begin to tell how much they disappoint the fans.

Well, I would perfer a new exclusive over a gimped port of a gimped 360 RPG anyways. Speaking of, I need to get around to beating Vesperia. If I don't, the unfinished JRPGs in my game collection are just going to keep piling up.
